  • 4 pounds baby back pork ribs
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder (or cayenne)
  • 2 cups barbecue sauce
  • Minced garlic

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Remove the membrane from the ribs and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  3. Mix garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, cumin, and chili powder in a bowl; rub onto both sides of the ribs.
  4. Cover with foil and bake for 2 hours.
  5. Prepare the barbecue sauce mixture during the last minutes of cooking.
  6. Remove ribs from the oven, add sauce on top, and increase temperature to 460°F (240°C) for an additional 10 minutes.
  7. Broil for about 3 minutes until edges are slightly charred.
  8. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
