Ingredients
- 2 lb lean ground beef (90/10 or 93/7)
- 1/2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 large yellow onion (finely diced)
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 8 slices medium cheddar cheese
- 6 oz shredded cheddar cheese
- 24 dinner rolls
- 2 Tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 Tbsp sesame seeds
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a rimmed baking sheet with butter.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add diced onions and sauté until translucent.
- Add ground beef to the skillet; season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook until browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in mayonnaise until well combined.
- Slice dinner rolls in half and place the bottom halves on the baking sheet. Layer sliced cheese, followed by the beef mixture, then top with shredded cheese.
- Place top halves of buns cut-side down over sliders, brush with melted butter, sprinkle sesame seeds on top, and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
