Description

Air fryer apple fries are the perfect combination of crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. This fun treat is not only a delightful snack but also a great dessert option for kids and adults alike. Coated in a light cinnamon-sugar breading, these apple fries are air-fried to golden perfection, making them a healthier alternative to traditional frying. Serve them warm with caramel sauce, yogurt, or whipped cream for an irresistible experience that’s sure to satisfy your sweet cravings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Prepare the apples by peeling (if desired) and cutting them into fry-like sticks. Pat dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  2. Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with whisked egg and milk, and one with a mixture of panko breadcrumbs, sugar, and cinnamon.
  3. Coat each apple stick in flour, dip into the egg mixture, and then coat thoroughly in the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Lightly spray the coated apple fries with nonstick cooking spray and arrange them in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  5. Air fry at 380°F (190°C) for 7–9 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through until golden and crispy.
  6. Serve warm with your choice of caramel sauce, yogurt, or whipped cream.
